The International Language ofPeace & Love

A simple idea. With all the war and conflict that seemed to be in the news everyday we decided to do something in our own small way. Why not spread the two words that were the opposite to the problems we were seeing everyday in the newspapers, on TV and in the media in general - Peace & Love!

With the global village of media and trade at it’s most connected ever - spreading these two words in one hundred different languages seemed to be the obvious next step. We decided to make the cards purely typographic – using Bernard MT Condensed (a traditional block typeface), laying it out to maximise the coverage in a wallpaper style, with PEACE and LOVE at the centre of each.

Checking the language idiosyncracies was no small feat. We contacted friends and colleagues around the world to ensure we had the right context for each translation. Thanks to everyone involved.
